Dawnbreaker staff is actively involved in the publication of materials that are useful to the small business community. These include a book called Business Planning for Scientists and Engineers [4th edition]; the Phase III Commercialization Magazine; and Profiles in Success.
The business planning book is accompanied by a website called the Book Companion which contains a number of useful excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, and business planning tools. The book is used in our programs and training seminars, and is also sold independently to universities and individuals.
The Phase III magazine is in its third year of publication and contains articles of interest to SBIR- and STTR-funded firms. Various methods of funding Phase III are discussed in each issue. Specialty articles that relate to energy, biotech, manufacturing, defense, and space [upcoming issues] are also included. The Phase III magazine is offered at no charge as a service to the community that Dawnbreaker serves.

Profiles in Success is a Dawnbreaker publication printed twice per year. This publication enables us to highlight the lessons learned by small businesses that have been successful in securing Phase III funding within 20 months of completing one of the programs offered by Dawnbreaker for its federal clients. Copies of these publications can be downloaded by selecting an image.
