Transitioning Technology to the Fleet

Online registration is now closed. Limited Government walk-in registrations will be accepted at the event, but lunch for walk-ins cannot be provided due to limited space. We apologize for any inconvenience.

This is the 7th Navy Opportunity Forum® sponsored by the Navy Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program Office. This year 174 opportunities will be showcased. The Forum provides an effective way for acquisition officers, R&D managers, prime contractors, 1st and 2nd tier suppliers, and defense personnel to preview Navy-funded technologies developed by small business. Each presenting firm has developed a Phase III Transition plan that charts a course to the successful transition of Navy-funded technologies to the appropriate defense applications.

The Forum is consistent with the objectives articulated by Congress in Section 252 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2006, to "accelerate the transition of technologies, products, and services developed under the Small Business Innovation Research Program to Phase III, including the acquisition process."

These technologies may be of interest to SBIR companies, prime contractors, and the venture community. Their offerings can be easily found in the Virtual Acquisition Showcase® by selecting "ORTAs First" under the sort function.
