AGP’s ethanol plant in Hastings, NE, is a dry-mill process producing 55 million gallons of ethanol annually. It produces and sells wet and dry distillers grains plus crude corn oil. Ethanol is marketed to major petroleum companies who blend it with gasoline to produce motor vehicle fuel that is cleaner burning than conventional gasoline. The plant has 45 highly qualified employees.
AGP captures methane gas from its anaerobic wastewater digester and uses it in a regenerative thermal oxidizer (RTO). The biogas replaces some of the natural gas now used to fuel the RTO. The digester (a bulk volume fermenter made by ADI Systems, Inc) processes wastewater from the corn and soy processing plants. The digester is a low-rate treatment system that can process wastewater with high suspended solids concentrations and variable flows. Optimization of the digester operations increased the volume of biogas production to the point that it became economical to capture it and use it in the RTO process. The RTO controls emissions in exhaust from the ethanol plant’s DDGS dryers.
AGP is a farmer-owned cooperative with business segments involved in procuring, processing, marketing, and transporting grains and grain products. It handles corn, although the bulk of the company's work is with soybeans, which includes two biodiesel facilities. The AGP family of brands includes AGP Grain Marketing LLC, Aminoplus, Soygold, AEP, and Masterfeeds.

SoyGold is a 100% soybean oil based methyl ester. It is added as a lubricity component in diesel fuel and is an effective solvent. SoyGold offers significant environmental, regulatory, and safety benefits as compared to petroleum solvents and fuels.
SoyGold is produced at AGP's state-of-the-art plants in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, St. Joseph, Missouri, and Algona, Iowa. The plants have combined capacity to produce nearly 1 billion pounds of product.
All plants are accredited producers of BQ-9000 biodiesel. SoyGold biodiesel gives clean power from a renewable American resource – soybeans. Available year round, SoyGold increases fuel lubricity, boosts cetane values and burns cleaner than traditional diesel fuels. SoyGold readily blends with diesel in any ratio from 2% and higher. Soygold lubricants and solvent alternatives are used in a wide variety of applications including soap and hand cleaners, automotive products, low VOC and high flash substitutes for D’Limonene, Naptha, mineral spirits and other petroleum-based solvents, petroleum degreasing, precision cleaning, animal fat degreasing, asphalt industry, form release, metal cutting adhesive removal, silk screen, printing and painting industries, glass cutting and stained glass industry, mold release, and moisture barrier.
SoyGold is produced by Ag Environmental Products, LLC, a subsidiary of Ag Processing Inc. (AGP). |

The company currently produces more than 50 million gallons of ethanol annually at a plant in Lexington, Nebraska. The company currently purchases more than 15 million bushels of locally-grown corn annually from producers and grain dealers, going to 50 million bushels in the near future. In addition to ethanol, Cornhusker Energy produces both wet and dry distillers grains, providing a feed source for local livestock producers. |

The ethanol production capacity of the plant is 53 million gallons per year. The plant produces fuel ethanol with a lower carbon intensity value than the base pathway for Midwest dry mill ethanol.
About 85 percent of the distillers’ grains with solubles produced at the Norfolk are partially dried with a typical moisture content of about 55 percent, by weight. The remaining distillers’ grains with solubles co-product is dried to a nominal 10 percent moisture and sold as dried distillers grains with solubles (DDGS). The Norfolk plant uses grid electricity and natural gas for its process fuel. |

In 2006, we began making biodiesel in Arlington, NE for use in off-road and highway vehicles from recycled cooking oil and animal fat. We became the first commercial biodiesel plant to operate in Nebraska.
In 2007, we purchased the old Golden Sun Feeds mill in Fremont, NE and began converting it into a fuel pellet mill. Today we process hundreds of tons of wood a month converting what was waste into premium quality pellet fuel and animal bedding. Before HBI, much of this material was going into our landfills.
