The acronym IDIQ stands for Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity and refers to a type of contracting vehicle that allows tremendous flexibility. NAVAIR has pioneered the use of IDIQ contracts as a means of facilitating transition to Phase III. If an SBIR/STTR firm can secure an interested NAVAIR customer who is willing to invest Phase III dollars, then the NAVAIR SBIR office will put an IDIQ in place.
