Acquire and sustain radar, command and control, and air defense weapons systems for the Marine Corps Air-Ground Task Force kill chain.

pg11

The Marine Air Command and Control System (MACCS) is designed to provide the Marine Air-Ground Task Force’s (MAGTF’s) Aviation Combat Element (ACE) commander with the ability to monitor, supervise, and influence the application of Marine aviation’s six functions.

Small Unmanned Aerial Systems The Mission of the SURSS (Small Unit Remote Scouting System) is to provide day/night reconnaissance/surveillance of the tactical objectives and danger areas beyond the unit's line of sight, and relay this information in near-real time directly to the supported unit. Dragon Eye and Raven B may be used in the urban environment, providing information that a battalion could previously gather only by patrolling or outpost activities, thus saving Marine lives and resources.

These UAV's have been deployed in support of GWOT to Iraq and Afghanistan and are being utilized at the Battalion and Company level. Currently, there are 55 Raven B systems deployed to OIF and 14 to OEF.
