Since its inception in 1958, NASA has managed hundreds of missions focusing on human spaceflight, unmanned exploration of the solar system, Earth observation, and deep space sensing. Today, NASA manages nearly one hundred Current Missions, with many more planned for the future.
The following missions are featured on this Space Portal because they represent the many facets of NASA’s science and technology research. These missions focus on both space sensing and exploration, near to Earth and into the depths of our Solar System and beyond.
