NASA's Space Technology Program, a new FY 2011 budget line, funds ten (10) technology development and innovation programs directly managed by the Office of the Chief Technologist (OCT) through its three (3) divisions:
- Early-Stage Innovation for low TRL efforts,
- Game Changing Technology to mature technologies from a TRL of 2/3 to a TRL of 4 in preparation for potential system level flight demonstration, and
- Crosscutting Capability Demonstrations for the maturation of cross-cutting capabilities to flight readiness status.
