Known for the Rocky Mountains, Colorado also sports the tallest sand dunes in North America. Colorado is a hub for aerospace, renewable energy, and biotech industries with universities focused on research and innovation including the University of Colorado system. The Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) strives “to advance the state’s economy through financial and technical assistance in support of local and regional economic development activities throughout Colorado.” Key state industries include advanced manufacturing, aerospace, defense and homeland security, infrastructure engineering and more. Advanced Industries Early-Stage Capital and Retention Grant
Advanced Industries Early-Stage Capital and Retention Grant helps Colorado-based businesses focused on advanced industries commercialize advanced technologies that will be created or manufactured in Colorado. Projects can receive up to $250,000 with a 2-to-1 (company-to-state) cash match.
Advanced Industries Collaborative Infrastructure Grant
The Advanced Industries Collaborative Infrastructure Grant in Colorado seeks to accelerate commercialization and innovation of advanced industry products and services by building infrastructure for that ecosystem. The program aligns private industry and research institutions to create public resources for the development of advanced industries in Colorado. Collaborative projects can receive up to $500,000. The Global Business Development (GBD) division administers the grant in partnership with Colorado’s advanced industry trade associations and the Economic Development Commission. The maximum award can be lifted for projects impacting more than one advanced industry. The next application opens February 2026.
Colorado Quantum Tech Hubs
The state provides an extensive list of resources available for Colorado-based businesses and research institutions focused on the Quantum industry.
