Train-the-Trainer Services
For Federal Agencies
Due to the in-depth knowledge of the SBIR/STTR programs gleaned over a 30-year career, Dawnbreaker® designs customized Train-the-Trainer courses for agencies and service providers using CANVAS as the instructional platform. In order to develop a true understanding of the SBIR/STTR programs, as well as the confidence needed to assist small, advanced technology firms, participants must utilize course content in meaningful ways. Courses are offered over a four-to-six week period, with two virtual, one-hour sessions per week. Class time is accompanied by 3-hours of meaningful homework each week utilizing the CANVAS platform.

Another service offered by Dawnbreaker® is Tutorial development
Dawnbreaker® has developed numerous tutorial platforms to help small business learn about the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs. Each of these platforms uses best instructional practices by presenting the content in a format designed for both auditory and visual learners, while also providing the opportunity to test mastery of the information presented. Between 2016 and 2020 Dawnbreaker® developed Tutorials for SBA. Although, the agency specific tutorials are no longer maintained, most of the “courses” still provide useful information on topics such as SBIR Data Rights, International Traffic in Arms Regulations, Accounting and Finance and Many others. (Click here to transfer to SBA Tutorial site). This site has been accessed by over 30,000 individuals.
Although Agencies that participate in the SBIR/STTR programs share many features, every program is quite unique. Dawnbreaker® has also developed tutorials for those looking to prepare Phase 1 SBIR/STTR proposals to submit to the Department of Energy and the Department of Homeland Security.
