The federal government invests in revolutionary technologies – sensors that will tell you when equipment needs maintenance, methods for visualizing the behavior of distributed teams, and subsea robotic devices. Technologies such as these don’t make it to market quickly. They require years of rigorous research and development, followed by countless rounds of test and evaluation, system integration, production scale-up and marketing.

In this publication, we celebrate the success of those firms that have continued to move their technologies forward. Profiles in Success was written in tandem with the Navy Opportunity Forum, and is not currently in production.
